Truro Classic Car Show to take place across the city centre next month
Truro BID will be bringing the popular Truro Classic Car Show back to the city on Sunday 2nd August from 10.30am until 3.30pm.
The Classic Car Show offers car lovers a rare chance to see cherished classic and vintage cars, from the early 20th century to the 2020s, displayed on a hard surface across a city centre. Vehicles will be showcased across Truro, including on: Lemon Quay, Lemon Street, Boscawen Street, St Nicholas St and Pydar St, plus new for this year vehicles on River Street. Much-loved classic brands such as Morris, Jaguar, Mercedes, Triumph, Porsche, MG, Ford, and many others will be on display.
As well as experiencing the city brimming with cherished cars, visitors will be able to browse automobilia and autojumbles stalls and enjoy live music.
There will also be a small selection of new cars on display at the event, from local dealers including: Vospers, Hawkins Motor Group, Vertu Honda Truro and P Perryman & Sons Commercial Vehicles.
To make travelling to the Truro Classic Car Show easier, Truro Park and Ride will again run a special Sunday shuttle bus from the Tregurra site, by Waitrose, to the city centre and then back to Tregurra.
Buses will run every 15 minutes between Tregurra Park and Ride and Quay Street and the journey will take around six minutes. The service will start from Tregurra at 09:30 and the last bus from the city back to Tregurra will leave Quay Street at 16:30.
Day tickets, for the Truro Park and Ride Shuttle including Family Day Tickets, are available via the Transport for Cornwall App, legacy First Bus App or from the driver. Multi-day tickets and PLUSBUS tickets are also valid. Please note that the Park and Ride at Langarth will not be open on this date.
Tregurra Park and Ride is running the shuttle service due to between Truro BID and Cornwall Council. The Truro Classic Car Show is being brought to the city by Truro BID, sponsored by Coodes Solicitors and Macmillan Cancer Support will be fundraising on the day.

It promises to be a great day for both car enthusiasts and families, while also helping to increase footfall and benefit many of our local, resident businesses.”

Taking place from 10.30am until 3.30pm on Sunday 2nd August, the Truro Classic Car Show is free to attend and to exhibit vehicles.
To keep the event pedestrian-friendly, city centre road closures will run from 6am to 6pm on Sunday 2 August. River St and Lemon St will also close to traffic from 4pm on Saturday 1 August to 6pm on Sunday 2 August to create more event space. Saturday evening road closures will be staffed by security to allow business and emergency access.
