Access Truro Project & the Accessible Guide to Truro
The Accessible Guide to Truro provides clear accessibility information about shops, cafés, venues and services across the city to support residents and visitors in making informed choices when they stay, eat, visit and explore Truro.
At the end of 2025 we worked with Access Cornwall CIC to deliver the Access Truro Project, to make the city more accessible and welcoming for everyone, and it has been supported and co-designed by Cllr Steven Webb.
Access Truro has been funded through Cornwall Council’s Town Regeneration and Investment Programme, part of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme, and match funded by Truro City Council.
Thank you to all the businesses who have been involved by working with Access Cornwall to have accessibility reviews of their premises and / or who have undertaken accessibility training. The project has also funded several portable ramps which have been delivered to Truro businesses.
Copies of the Accessible Guide to Truro are available to the public from: the Truro Visitor Information Centre on Boscawen St, Truro Community Library, Cornwall Mobility, isight Cornwall and Ross Care Cornwall Wheel Chair Service.
Truro businesses, if you'd like to have copies to give out to customers let us know by emailing lindsey.craik@trurobid.co.uk. For more details about the project, see our media release.
