Truro Classic Car Show, Sunday 28 July 2024

Save the date! We will be bringing the Truro Classic Car Show back for its second year on Sunday 28 July 2024, taking place from 10.30am until 3.30pm. This Classic Car Show in Cornwall offers car lovers a unique opportunity to see a wide variety of cherished classic and vintage cars spanning over ten decades, from the 1900s to the 1990s, in a city centre location. For 2024 the Truro Classic Car Show will be a much larger event compared to last year. Along with Lemon Quay, cars will be showcased on Lemon Street and on Boscawen Street making Truro City Centre a big attraction for vehicle enthusiasts on a Summer’s Sunday and enabling a wider selection of exhibitors to take part.

As well as experiencing the city brimming with cherished cars, visitors will be able to browse automobilia and autojumbles stalls, and enjoy live music. Cars on show will include classic and vintage cars and modern classics. New for 2024, there will be an opportunity to see new cars, including electric cars from local dealers. The Truro Classic Car Show is being brought to the city by Truro BID and sponsored by Coodes Solicitors. Macmillan Cancer Support will be fundraising on the day.

Entering your vehicle for the show in 2024 - NOW AT CAPACITY. ENTRIES ARE CLOSED. EXCEPT MOTORCYCLES.

If you wish to exhibit your motorcycle at the Truro Classic Car Show please email: sian.knights@trurobid.co.uk

The event is free to attend and to exhibit vehicles. However, those who wish to exhibit their classic car or vintage vehicle are invited to make a voluntary donation on arrival to the event of up to £10 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support (cash or card donations).

For details about the event please see Visit Truro's webpage.

Road Closures for the Truro Classic Car Show

Along with Lemon Quay, cars will be showcased on Lemon Street and on Boscawen Street so road closures and parking restrictions will be in place across the city. We will be hand delivering letters to those businesses and residents affected by the road closures and apologise in advance for any inconvenience it may cause.

Please note the following dates and times where you will not be able to park due to road closures:
- Lemon Street from 4pm Saturday 27 July until 5.30pm Sunday 28 July (to prevent overnight parking, which would hamper the event space required).
- On Sunday 28 July from 7.30am until 5.30pm: Lower Lemon Street, Boscawen Street, Princes Street, St. Nicholas Street, King Street, High Cross, St. Mary’s Street and Duke Street.

Those exhibiting their vehicles will be arriving between 8am and 10am and exiting from 3.30pm onwards. We hope the event will bring additional visitors to the city which will benefit many of Truro's businesses.

Truro Classic Car Show 2023

We brought the first Truro Classic Car Show the city on Sunday 30 July where Lemon Quay was transformed for all car lovers to enjoy. The show featured iconic, vintage cars including an Aston Martin, Morris Minors, 'Whistling Billy' The Racing 'White' Steam Car and more

A huge thank you to everyone who exhibited their car and to The Velvets and True Foxes for entertaining the audience.

We were delighted with the large volume of spectators who came along to take a look at the cars, thank you to everyone who turned up, especially in the drizzle. We hope that many city centre businesses benefited from the increase in footfall.

Thanks also to our sponsor Coodes Solicitors. We are pleased to hear that Macmillan Cancer Support had a good day fundraising too.
