Truro BID

Shop Watch in Truro

We are continuing to lead on the Shop Watch initiative which supports retailers in the City to work together to address anti-social behaviour and crime affecting Truro's businesses. These meetings are also a great forum for businesses to communicate about any other city centre related topics.

All Truro businesses are welcome to attend the monthly meeting which usually take place at 10am on the 1st Tuesday of each month in at Training Room 4a, Pydar House, Pydar St, TR1 1XU. For queries about the meetings contact: alun.jones@trurobid.co.uk

If you attend the Shop Watch meeting - please adhere to the Shop Watch Code of Conduct.

Businesses may find the Theft From Shops information leaflet from the National Business Crime Centre useful.

Reporting Tool

Crime Reporting Tool

In June 2021 we launched the DISC online crime reporting system for businesses and organisations to help reduce anti-social behaviour (ASB) and low-level crime.

The scheme enabled partners (Cornwall Council, Devon & Cornwall Police) to work with Truro Shopwatch more efficiently and deliver a better communication network to support the business community.

Since April 2026 we have been using the SentrySIS platform through UK Partners Against Crime (UKPAC). SentrySIS supports crime reporting, intelligence sharing and offender tracking, and is better aligned with police systems, making it easier to retrieve evidence and helping improve prosecutions for high street crime.

We encourage all Truro City Centre businesses to sign up and use SentrySIS. To do so, email UKPAC at devonandcornwall.crimehub@uk-pac.com with your first name, surname, business and email address.

If you were registered and active on DISC, you should have received a welcome email from SentrySIS. Please activate it to join, or email UKPAC using the address above.

Thank you to all businesses already using SentrySIS. For more info about UKPAC, see https://uk-pac.com

As well as online reporting tools, we have provided the city with a security resource, for more details see the Truro Rangers webpage
